Cantine Spinelli

Many harvests have passed since Vincenzo Spinelli decided to grow grapes on the hills around Atessa, in the southern part of Abruzzo. A mixture of clay and limestone and a unique microclimate with the sea on one side and the mountains on the other, make this land perfect for vine growing. Today, Vincenzo is still there, driven by the same energy he had as a young man passing values and passion to his sons Carlo and Adriano. 

Located in the center-south of Italy, overlooking the Adriatic Sea, the Abruzzo region is characterized by a great variety of environments: sea, mountains, hills, lakes. The area most suited to the cultivation of vines includes the belt of the Frentane hills, between the Maiella mountain massif and the sea, which are no more than 50 km away from one other as the crow flies. Here the clayey-calcareous soil and the temperate and cool climate, with considerable temperature variations, create the ideal environment for the production of excellent quality wines.
