Masseria Frattasi

Moscato di Baselice Passito

LUSCIOUS FULL BODIED SWEET WHITE

Masseria Frattasi loves the hard way of making wines. They have no fears in engaging with mountain viticulture, battling the elements in the pursuit of creating something great.

The Muscat grapes are harvested in a small, bush-trained (alberello) vineyard at 700 metres a.s.l. Low yields vines give exceptional grapes that are naturally dried for 30-40 days. The wine refines for at least two years in barriques.

This Moscato is a Campanian gem. It offers entrancing bouquet of apricots, ripe apples and honey which then evolves on floral notes of acacia and broom. On the palate is fresh with a touch of acidity. A very long, lingering finish.

Made from Muscat grapes collected from old vines (bush training system) grown at 700 a.s.l. on volcanic soil on the slope of the Mount Taburno (Northern Campania).

The grapes were hand harvested and then laid on special racks to slowly dry for approximately 30-40 days. The wine refines for at least two years in French oak barrique.

Rich aroma of apricot, ripe apple and honey in balance with flower notes of acacia and broom. On the palate is fresh with a touch of acidity. A very long, lingering finish.

A perfect partner to soft cheese or fruit desserts.
